Why did you file a claim with the wrong insurance company?
Our billing service receives information regarding your insurance from the facility where your study was performed. Sometimes this information is incomplete or incorrect, perhaps because the wrong insurance card is presented at the location of service or employers change insurance carriers and sometimes clerical errors occur. When this happens, the billing service will correct the information as soon as it becomes available and will submit a new claim on your behalf.
-
The insurance already paid. Why do I still owe more?
It is commonly believed that insurance covers all payments for medical care, but rarely does that occur. At times insurance provides no coverage. When insurance does make a payment, it seldom covers 100% of the cost. Most policies require the policyholder to meet a specified out of pocket expense, also known as a deductible, before the policy makes any payments.
